Terms & Conditions
While we want our community to be open, fun, energizing, and collaborative, we also want it to be professional. Origin is not a serviced or fully staffed office so we ask that all members and visiting guests abide by our house rules:
Points of contact are accountable for the conduct of their guests. POCs must notify Origin of any additional usage of the space beyond that designated in the current Agreement. Origin reserves the right to charge additional fees if guests utilize additional spaces.
Visitors to Origin are not permitted to enter areas that are not reserved by the Organization / POC. This includes offices, maintenance closets, and/or common areas not rented by the Organization / POC.
Respect the space and leave it as you find it.
All guests of the client should be greeted at the door by the POC or designated team member. Door codes should not be shared with extended guests. The door will remain locked during the event time. Please keep the kitchen areas and bathrooms clean. Please wash & dry or place in the dishwasher all your dishes and your guests’ items as well. All food related trash should be thrown away into the kitchen trash cans.
It is your responsibility to keep your workspace orderly and remove all trash, packaging and boxes from your workspace or common space frequently. Wastebaskets in offices and dedicated desks will be emptied by custodial staff on weekends only. Please throw all food/beverage trash in kitchen trash bins.
The big refrigerators are for our members — primarily for storing that day’s food and drinks and the coffee creamers (which are shared). Please don’t take anything that isn’t yours. As a general policy, food that is older than one week will be thrown out.
We don’t tolerate intoxication in the space. Be mindful, too, that your “quitting time” may not match up with everybody else’s schedule. Underage drinking or excessive drinking is not tolerated and will result in immediate cancellation of rental agreement and/or removal from the premises.
No smoking or vaping is allowed inside the building. We are smoke, tobacco and illegal substances free.
Do not bring firearms into the building.
Be mindful and respectful of others’ attention and time.
We have zero tolerance for anyone harassing members or guests of Origin. A member or guest found to be acting in this manner may be warned or expelled from the space at the discretion of the staff. If anyone in our space makes you feel uncomfortable, please let us know. Please erase whiteboards and clean up after using a meeting room.
If you want to hold an event at Origin, please talk to Community Managers about scheduling, guest policy, insurance requirements, and fees if applicable.
We set the heat and air conditioning on a schedule that makes sense for most people. Please do not alter the thermostats. If the heat or air conditioning do not seem to be working, please let Community Managers know.
Be responsible and respectful with your internet usage. No bit-torrent, porn or illegal activities. Respect other people’s privacy, confidentiality, safety, property, and data.
Bring plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roof, flooding, and any other maintenance issues to Community Managers.
